Laura Recommends: Andy Brown - Put That Record On

Published on

Ever since Andy Brown launched his solo career with the county tinged 'Landslide' featuring The Shires' Crissie Rhodes I have been totally hooked on his music and am enjoying seeing him becoming a massive solo country music star.

The UK/Irish scene is continuing to grown year-on-year and we have some amazing acts such as Ward Thomas, The Shires, Kevin McGuire, and Una Healy, and now we have Andy Brown who is adding a little something different to the genre by mixing a touch of rock to his sound rather than the pop injection we are used to.

And now he is back with another brand new track titled 'Put That Record On' which is his third solo single following 'Landslide', and 'Talk Of The Town' which are all taken from his upcoming debut solo album 'Cedarmont' which will be released on June 8th and is already shaping up to be on of the album's of the year.

Along with three hit single's Brown has also released a covers EP titled 'Country Sessions' which saw him cover tracks from the likes of Lady Antebellum, and Little Big Town with amazing results.

With 'Put That Record' on he has gone down a slightly different road with a change of musical style compared to his previous releases. It has the usual rock guitar riff I love but his gravel tone is stripped back and he sings a stunning falsetto in the chorus.

It's a really catchy song that radio stations will love and it has the potential to become a real crossover success and I am excited to see the official music video as I am looking forward to seeing how he tells the story of the track in a visual way.

So if you're looking for some great new music to listen to this week, look no further than Andy Brown's 'Put That Record On'. You will not be disappointed.
