Laura Recommends: Kevin McGuire

It's always fun discovering new music and artists and last year I discovered the stunning vocals of Scottish country singer Kevin McGuire. After one listen to his single '3AM' I was hooked and totally fell in love with his authentic country twang. 

I just love his voice and his songwriting ability is absolutely brilliant. He is a true talent and one the most exciting acts in the UK country scene at the moment. It's hard to believe that he doesn't hail from Nashville, because he truly sounds that good. 

His tone is terrific and not only does he release stellar original music which is evident in his debut EP 'Foreign Country' but he also shares outstanding covers. Earlier this month he released his version of The 1975's global smash-hit 'The Sound' and the country spin he put on the track is fantastic.  

He really does have a mesmerising talent for creating outstanding music and one of my favourite's is the brilliant 'Late'. I just adore this song and I feel it showcases all of McGuire's talents. 

So, if like me you're always looking to discover new music and artists then look no further than Kevin McGuire. You won't regret it, he is a true star in the making!
