Laura Recommends: Reggie 'N' Bollie - Uncommon Favours

Published on

I have had a soft spot for Reggie 'N' Bollie since they bounced onto the X Factor stage back in 2015. Their infectious energy and feel-good vibes stood out from the rest and added a real buzz to the series. I also loved the chemistry the shared with their mentor Cheryl and it's great that they are all still friends proving that Cheryl really does take her role seriously.

The duo released their debut album 'Uncommon Favours' on December 15th via their own label F.R.O.D Music after they were in my opinion wrongly dropped from Simon Cowell's label Syco. I believe Syco could have really pushed for Reggie 'N' Bollie and made them household names across the globe. But with their own label they are now able to control their sound which is brilliant.

Last year their album was released via digital download only but it seems I'm not the only one who prefers physical copies rather than just MP3 downloads, as today they have released physical copies of the album, and you can even order signed editions from their official website.

I really love this record as it is a collection of fantastic dancehall - afrobeat tunes that make you dream of summer. The songs are feel-good and they are going to sound incredible live when the boys tour the UK this April.

All the tracks have a special energy to them especially the likes of 'On The Floor', 'Jack & Coke', 'Good Vibes', 'Dreams', and 'Rock With Me'. It's also an eclectic mix that showcases their immense talents and is a real party album.

If you're looking for some good vibes and feel-good music then Reggie 'N' Bollie's 'Uncommon Favours' is for you.
