Laura Recommends: Lady Antebellum - What If I Never Get Over You

Published on

It's been a while since I recommended new music, the last time was on March 11th where I recommended you take a listen to the stunning, inspirational 'Fire' from Sarah Darling.

That's not to say there hasn't been some brilliant songs released since then, in fact just last week Darling shared the gorgeous 'A Little Bit Of Rain', while Ward Thomas have also officially released the poignant 'One More Goodbye'. No the reason for the lack of blogs has been down to a large workload of journalism work this past few months.

But, this past Friday (May 17th) Lady Antebellum returned with their incredible new single 'What If I Never Get Over You' and I felt compelled to share it with you all.

Penned by Ryan Hurd it sees Lady A making a welcome return to their roots and has a stunning vocal harmony between Charles Kelley and Hillary Scott. It's old school Lady Antebellum and it's refreshing to see them back to doing what they do best; heartfelt Country ballads.

It's poignant, bittersweet and catchy, everything you could wish for from a Country track and more. I never thought they could better 'Need You Now', but for me this song finally tops it.

It's absolutely outstanding and heralds in their new partnership with Big Machine Label Group after leaving their long, successful relationship with Capitol Records. It's a new beginning for the Nashville band and it couldn't have gotten off to a better start.

So, if you're looking for some wonderful new music to listen to this week make sure you check out 'What If I Never Get Over You' from Lady Antebellum. You will not be disappointed!
